APRIL Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects APRIL protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-APRIL antibody (F-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. A proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL), also known as TNFSF13, is a Type II membrane protein that plays a pivotal role in immune regulation and is part of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cytokine family. APRIL protein is primarily located on the surface of immune cells, where APRIL is crucial for mediating interactions with receptors, thereby influencing cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation. High levels of APRIL protein in transformed cell lines and various human tumor tissues, including colon and thyroid, underscore APRIL′s significance in cancer biology and immune responses. APRIL′s ability to form trimers is essential for function, as this oligomerization is necessary for effective receptor binding and subsequent signaling cascades that regulate immune responses and tissue homeostasis.
