Suppressor of Hairless Antibody (C-9) は、ショウジョウバエ由来の Suppressor of Hairless タンパク質を WB、IP、IF、ELISA で検出する IgG2aκ マウスモノクローナル抗体（Suppressor of Hairless 抗体とも呼ばれる）である。Suppressor of Hairless Antibody (C-9) は、ノンコンジュゲート抗Suppressor of Hairless 抗体のほか、アガロース、HRP、PE、FITC、複数のAlexa Fluor® コンジュゲートなど、複数のコンジュゲート抗Suppressor of Hairless 抗体が利用可能である。キイロショウジョウバエは、高等真核生物に共通する発生および細胞プロセスを研究するための、実績のある効果的なモデルである。120メガバスを超えるユークロマチンから約13,600の遺伝子が解明されており、それらは2番、3番、4番、X、Y染色体の間で構成され、Y染色体は主にヘテロクロマチックである。ショウジョウバエ遺伝子は、そのコードするタンパク質のタイプに基づいて分類することができ、細胞内シグナル伝達タンパク質、膜貫通タンパク質、RNA結合タンパク質、分泌因子、転写制御因子（塩基性ヘリックス-ループ-ヘリックス、ホメオドメイン含有、ジンクフィンガー含有、クロマチン関連）、またはその他の機能性タンパク質の6つに大別される。これらのタンパク質のうち、ヘアレス抑制因子Su(H)は細胞質タンパク質で、活性化されたノッチ受容体と相互作用し、その後核に局在する。核内Su(H)は、Enhancer of split複合体を標的とする転写因子として機能し、神経発生シグナルを引き出す。
