PDE1B Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PDE1B in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PDE1B is a critical enzyme in the regulation of cyclic nucleotide signaling, specifically hydrolyzing cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) into their respective nucleoside 5-prime-monophosphates, thereby influencing various physiological processes including smooth muscle tone and neuronal signaling. The importance of PDE1B′s function is underscored by its role in modulating intracellular calcium levels through calmodulin-dependent activity, which is essential for processes such as learning and memory in the central nervous system. The human PDE1B gene, located on chromosome 12q13, encodes a 536-amino acid protein that is expressed in key neuronal regions such as the cerebellum and hippocampus, as well as in lymphoblastoid cell lines. Notably, PDE1B is involved in the phosphorylation regulation of DARPP-32 in dopaminergic neurons, linking PDE1B to critical neurobiological functions. Additionally, a splice variant, PDE1B2, produces a protein that differs from PDE1B1 by substituting the first 38 amino acids with an alternative sequence, highlighting the complexity and regulatory potential of this enzyme. Anti-PDE1B antibody (D-11) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the intricate roles of cyclic nucleotide signaling in health and disease.
