p-GM130 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ser 25 phosphorylated GM130 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-GM130 (C-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GM130, a critical cis-Golgi matrix protein, plays a vital role in organizing and maintaining Golgi apparatus function, which is essential for proper protein processing and trafficking within cells. GM130′s structure includes a unique amino-terminus that binds to vesicle docking protein p115, while its carboxy-terminus anchors to Golgi membranes, facilitating transport vesicle tethering. This interaction enables protein transport from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi, ensuring correct protein modification and sorting. Phosphorylation of GM130 at Serine 25 during mitosis, mediated by Cdc2, disrupts p115 binding, leading to Golgi apparatus fragmentation - a key event in cell division. Understanding GM130 dynamics and interactions helps elucidate intracellular transport mechanisms and Golgi function regulation, making anti-GM130 antibody (C-11) an invaluable research tool.
