Oct-2 Antibody (PT2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Oct-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Oct-2 antibody (PT2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Oct-2, also known as POU class 2 homeobox 2 (POU2F2), plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly in B cells, where Oct-2 is essential for activating immunoglobulin gene promoters. Oct-2 (PT2) monoclonal antibody localizes to the nucleus, where Oct-2 binds to specific DNA sequences known as octamer motifs, which are vital for transcriptional regulation of genes involved in immune response. Oct-2′s interaction with other transcription factors and coactivators, such as OBF1, enhances regulatory capacity, making Oct-2 a key player in B lymphocyte development and function. Understanding Oct-2′s function and localization helps elucidate immune regulation mechanisms and develop potential therapeutic strategies targeting B cell-related disorders.
