ICAD Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b light chain antibody that detects ICAD in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ICAD, or Inhibitor of Caspase-Activated DNase, plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis by inhibiting the activity of caspase-activated DNase, which is essential for DNA fragmentation during programmed cell death. This function is vital as ICAD helps maintain genomic integrity and prevents unwanted cell death, which can lead to various diseases, including cancer. The interaction between ICAD and caspase-activated DNase is a key regulatory mechanism that ensures apoptosis occurs in a controlled manner, allowing for the proper removal of damaged or unnecessary cells while preserving healthy tissue. Anti-ICAD antibody (B-6) provides reliable detection of ICAD, facilitating research into ICAD′s role in apoptosis and implications in disease processes.
