TRAF1 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects TRAF1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRAF1, or TNF receptor-associated factor 1, plays a crucial role in mediating tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling by forming heterodimeric complexes with TRAF2, which is essential for the downstream signaling pathways activated by TNF receptor 1 (TNF-R1) and TNF receptor 2 (TNF-R2). The interaction of TRAF1 with these receptors is vital for regulating inflammatory responses and cell survival, making TRAF1 a significant player in immune system function and potential therapeutic target in inflammatory diseases. TRAF1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where TRAF1 associates with the cytoplasmic domains of TNF receptors, facilitating the recruitment of downstream signaling molecules. This localization allows TRAF1 to effectively transmit signals from the cell surface to the nucleus, influencing gene expression and cellular responses to TNF.
