OSR1 Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects OSR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-OSR1 antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OSR1, also known as odd-skipped-related 1, is a 266 amino acid member of the Odd C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, which plays a crucial role in embryonic development and bone formation. OSR1 is expressed in key tissues such as the colon, small intestine, prostate, testis, and fetal lung, and shows significant upregulation in several pancreatic and esophageal cancer cell lines while being downregulated in some primary gastric cancers. OSR1 features three C2H2-type zinc fingers, a tyrosine phosphorylation site, and several putative PXXP SH3 binding motifs, which are essential for cellular signaling pathways. OSR1 plays a vital role in metanephric kidney formation; absence in mice leads to failed development of metanephric mesenchyme and null expression of critical proteins such as EYA1, Six2, Pax, Sall1, and GDNF, all essential for normal kidney development. These findings highlight OSR1′s importance in both developmental biology and potential cancer research, making OSR1 (C-8) monoclonal antibody a valuable research tool.
