ISYNA1 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ISYNA1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ISYNA1 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ISYNA1, also known as inositol-3-phosphate synthase 1, plays a crucial role in the biosynthesis of myo-inositol, which is essential for the formation of membrane phospholipids and the phosphoinositide signaling pathway. This 558 amino acid enzyme is predominantly expressed in the testis, ovary, heart, placenta, and pancreas, while showing lower expression levels in blood leukocytes, thymus, skeletal muscle, and colon. As the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of all inositol-containing compounds, ISYNA1 catalyzes the conversion of glucose 6-phosphate to 1-myo-inositol 1-phosphate in a NAD-dependent manner, making ISYNA1 vital for cellular signaling and membrane integrity. Additionally, ISYNA1 may be upregulated by E2F-1 and is inhibited by mood-stabilizing drugs such as valproate and lithium, highlighting ISYNA1′s potential implications in mood regulation and metabolic disorders.
