IL-1β Antibody (B122) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects IL-1β (B122) of mouse, rat, human, and hamster origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-1β (B122) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-1β plays a pivotal role in the immune response and inflammation, acting as a key mediator that influences the activity of T and B lymphocytes as well as natural killer (NK) cells. Notably, IL-1β is produced in response to inflammatory stimuli and is crucial for the activation of immune cells, promoting the secretion of other cytokines such as IL-2 while inhibiting IL-4 expression in T cells. This regulatory function is essential for maintaining a balanced immune response, and dysregulation of IL-1β has been linked to various pathological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease. The ability of IL-1β to induce B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin synthesis further underscores its importance in adaptive immunity. By utilizing IL-1β (B122) antibody in research, you can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of inflammation and immune regulation, contributing to a better understanding of both normal physiological processes and disease states.
