IL-16 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects interleukin-16 in human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-16 is a crucial cytokine known for its role as a lymphocyte chemoattractant factor, particularly for CD4+ T lymphocytes, which are essential for orchestrating immune responses. Anti-IL-16 antibody (B-2) recognizes protein secreted by activated eosinophils during allergic reactions, highlighting its importance in mediating inflammation and immune regulation. Upon binding to CD4 receptor, IL-16 triggers a cascade of intracellular signaling events, including the activation of protein kinase C (PKC) pathways, which are vital for the proliferation and differentiation of T cells. The ability of IL-16 to attract CD4+ T lymphocytes to sites of inflammation underscores its significance in both normal immune function and pathological conditions, such as allergies and autoimmune diseases. IL-16 monoclonal antibody (B-2) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the complex interactions within the immune system and the mechanisms underlying inflammatory responses.
