HRPAP20 Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HRPAP20 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HRPAP20, or hormone-regulated proliferation-associated protein 20, is a 175 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene NDUFAF4, and plays a crucial role in cellular proliferation and apoptosis regulation. HRPAP20 shows elevated expression in invasive breast cancer cell lines and human breast tumor specimens, contributing to enhanced malignant cell invasion. The mechanism involves HRPAP20′s ability to increase matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) secretion, an enzyme that facilitates extracellular matrix breakdown, promoting tumor invasion and metastasis. Experiments demonstrate that HRPAP20 transfection leads to increased MMP-9 secretion, while HRPAP20 knockdown using small interfering RNA results in reduced invasion and MMP-9 secretion inhibition. These findings highlight HRPAP20′s significance as both a malignancy marker and potential therapeutic target in cancer treatment strategies.
