FTY720 is an aminopropanediol cell-permeable EDG-1 (endothelial differential gene 1 receptor) antagonist and immunosuppresive agent. It may act to display lymphocyte, or white blood cell, sequestration properties. When FTY720 is phosphorylated, it becomes an agonist for four sphingosine 1-phosphate receptors. FTY720 is an inhibitor of cPLA2.
