Can FPR2 (GM1D6): sc-57141 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, FPR2 (GM1D6): sc-57141 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Rated 4 di 5 di da Quite good antibody We tested FPR2 by western blotting analysis. 60 micrograms of mouse brain membrane lysates were resolved on 10% SDS-PAGE, and incubated over night with monoclonal FPR2 antibody (1:1000). Secondary antibody utilized was anti-mouse sc-2005 antibody (1:5000). FPR2 signal was detected by chemidoc (Biorad) and the signal (not fully clear) was reached after medium exposition.

Rated 4 di 5 di da The antibody worked pretty good on freshly The antibody worked pretty good on freshly isolated human monocytes and granulocytes, when blocked with 5% heat-inactivated FCS. At a dilution of 1/1000 I observed clear stainings with minimal background and no signal for the isotype control. Tests for cross reactivity in HEK cells expressing hFPR1 or hFPR3 were negative. For high-quality pictures cell had to be fixated with 3% methanol-free paraformaldehyde. In summary the antibody works quite good with good specificity so far.
