ETAR Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects endothelin receptor A (ETAR) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ETAR, also known as EDNRA, ET1 Receptor, ETA, EDN1, and ET-AR, is a crucial member of the guanine-binding regulatory protein-coupled receptor family, primarily known for high affinity for endothelin-1 (ET1). ETAR anti-ETAR antibody (C-4) plays a key role in various physiological processes, including vascular tone and blood pressure regulation, while showing involvement in pathophysiological conditions such as hypertension and heart failure. ETAR is predominantly located in plasma membrane of cells, particularly in vascular smooth muscle cells, where ETAR (C-4) monoclonal antibody mediates endothelin effects. ETAR activation leads to increased intracellular calcium levels and arachidonic acid accumulation, essential for signaling pathways influencing smooth muscle contraction and cellular responses. With seven hydrophobic transmembrane domains, ETAR expression occurs in several tissues, including aorta, lung, atrium, kidney, placenta, and prostate, highlighting ETAR′s importance in normal physiology and disease states. Anti-ETAR antibody (C-4) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers exploring ETAR′s intricate functions and mechanisms in various biological contexts.
