DRG1 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects DRG1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DRG1, also known as NEDD3, is a 367 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, which are vital processes in maintaining normal cellular function and preventing tumorigenesis. DRG1 is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and belongs to the GTP1/OBG family, with high expression levels found in the heart, kidney, and skeletal muscle, while lower levels are observed in the brain, liver, placenta, lung, colon, and spleen. Notably, DRG1 interacts with TAL1 and TAL2, suggesting involvement in regulatory pathways that influence cell fate decisions. Furthermore, DRG1 undergoes post-translational modifications such as polyubiquitination and sumoylation, with polyubiquitination leading to proteolytic degradation, which is essential for regulating protein levels and function within the cell. The gene encoding DRG1 is located on human chromosome 22, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type 2, highlighting the importance of DRG1 in both normal physiology and disease states.
