CS1 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CS1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CS1, also known as novel Ly9, SLAMF7, 19A24, or CRACC, is a homophilic cell surface receptor belonging to the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule (SLAM) family, predominantly expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, T cells, and activated B cells. Anti-CS1 antibody (E-7) recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in immune responses, particularly in the activation of NK cells, which are essential for the body′s defense against tumors and virally infected cells. CS1′s cytoplasmic domain contains immunoreceptor tyrosine-based switch motifs, facilitating interaction with EAT-2, a protein that induces phosphorylation of CS1 upon ligand binding. This phosphorylation activates downstream cytotoxicity effectors, including phospholipase C gamma and phosphoinositide 3-kinase, thereby enhancing NK cell′s ability to eliminate target cells. While EAT-2 promotes CS1 activation in humans, EAT-2 has an inhibitory effect on NK cell activation in mice, highlighting the complexity of immune regulation mediated by CS1. CS1 (E-7) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune cell signaling and the intricate mechanisms of immune responses across different species.
