APNG Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects APNG protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-APNG antibody (D-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. APNG plays a crucial role in the base excision repair pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic integrity by repairing damaged DNA. APNG specifically recognizes and removes methylated bases, such as 3-methyladenine and 7-methylguanine, which can arise from environmental factors or normal cellular processes.
