TFIIIC102 Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TFIIIC102 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TFIIIC102 (C-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TFIIIC102 plays a crucial role in the transcription of genes by RNA polymerase III, which is responsible for synthesizing essential small RNAs such as tRNA and 5S rRNA. This function is particularly important because proper regulation of RNA polymerase III activity is vital for cellular growth and proliferation; overexpression of TFIIIC102 has been observed in various transformed cell lines and tumors, indicating a potential role in cancer biology. The TFIIIC2 complex, which includes TFIIIC102 along with other subunits, is essential for recruiting RNA polymerase III to promoter elements, thereby facilitating transcription of genes necessary for rapid cell division. In many malignant cells, deregulation of this complex can lead to uncontrolled growth, making TFIIIC102 a significant target for research into cancer therapies and diagnostics.
