STK16 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects STK16 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). STK16 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. STK16, also known as serine/threonine kinase 16, KRCT, MPSK, TSF1, or PKL12, is a 305 amino acid lipid-anchored membrane protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways. One of the key aspects of STK16 is its ability to undergo post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation, which is vital for regulating various cellular processes such as cell division, differentiation, and response to DNA damage. The phosphorylation of serine and threonine residues by STK16 can activate or deactivate target proteins, thereby influencing critical functions within the cell. STK16 is expressed ubiquitously at low levels and is known to interact with several specific proteins, further underscoring STK16′s importance in the secretory pathway and Golgi apparatus organization. Human STK16 shares 94% sequence identity with its mouse counterpart, indicating a conserved function across species, which is essential for understanding STK16′s role in human health and disease.
