Stat5a Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody, designed to recognize an epitope spanning amino acids 774-793 at the C-terminus of the Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 5A (Stat5a), also known as STAT5A. anti-Stat5a antibody (A-7) is reactive with Stat5a proteins from mouse, rat, and human origins and is suitable for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. Stat5a plays a crucial role in the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, mediating responses to various cytokines and growth factors such as IL-2, IL-3, erythropoietin, and growth hormone. The protein structure of Stat5a includes several key domains, including the SH2 domain, which is essential for dimerization following phosphorylation. This dimerization allows Stat5a to translocate to the nucleus, where Stat5a regulates gene expression involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis in lymphohematopoietic cells.
