Thank you for your question. This is not a phospho-specific antibody for Stat1. It is recommended for detection of total Stat1, and we have not tested it specifically for detection of phosphorylated Stat1. This antibody is now discontinued. Please contact our Technical Service Department for a recommendation for one of our currently available Stat1 antibodies.

Now Stat1 p84/p91 (E-23) has been discontinued and replaced by Stat1 p84/p91 (C-136): sc-464. This new monoclonal antibody is more specific, provides a stronger signal .

Can you tell me the epitope used to generate the discontinued antibody against Stat1 p84/p91 Antibody (E-23): sc-346? Where approximately on the protein did the antibody bind?

Thank you for your question. The exact immunogen sequence is considered proprietary. However, I can provide you with a 50 amino acid range of where the immunogen is located. Stat1 p84/p91 (E-23): sc-346 was raised against a sequence between amino acids 660-710 of Stat1 p84/p91 of human origin (accession# P42224).
