    SRm160 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects SRm160 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SRm160 antibody (E-8) is available as the non-conjugated form. SRm160 protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of pre-mRNA splicing, functioning as a splicing coactivator that enhances interactions between various splicing factors bound to pre-mRNA. Located predominantly in the nucleus, SRm160 is essential for spliceosome assembly, a complex responsible for precise removal of introns from pre-mRNA. This localization ensures splicing occurs in appropriate cellular compartments, allowing efficient processing of mRNA before translation into proteins. SRm160 protein interacts with core small nuclear ribonucleoprotein particles (snRNPs) and other serine/arginine-rich splicing factors, facilitating splice site recognition and regulation of alternative splicing patterns.
