LZK Antibody (1-RY22) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the LZK protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LZK antibody (1-RY22) is available as the non-conjugated format. LZK, a member of the mixed lineage kinase (MLK) family, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in neuronal cells, where LZK is involved in mediating death signaling through interactions with Rac1/Cdc42, MKK4, and MKK7. LZK is essential for the activation of the c-Jun-NH2 terminal kinase/stress-activated protein kinase (JNK/SAPK) pathway via MKK7, which is vital for cellular responses to stress and apoptosis. The dual leucine zipper-like motif of LZK facilitates dimerization and oligomerization, which are critical for functional activation. Predominantly expressed in the pancreas, LZK also shows moderate expression in adult brain, liver, and placenta tissues, highlighting potential significance in various physiological processes and disease states.
