What does it mean that the sc-52 antibody is discontinuous? Is there no chance of even finding a share?

can this antibody(polyclonal) work in passerine birds? If not can you suggest a c-fos antibody polyclonal/monoclonal working in bird brain?

Thank you for your question. This discontinued c-fos antibody has not been tested in avian samples and so that is not a recommended species. Unfortunately we do not have any avian reactive c-Fos antibodies at this time. We are still gathering data on bird reactivity. Check back for updates!

I used immunofluorescence staining in the hypothalamus of rat, and as a result c-fos was expressed in the cytoplasm. It's not expressed in the nucleus. Is it correct?

Thank you for your question. According to the Human Protein Atlas, c-Fos (FOS) is localized to the nucleoplasm. Nuclear and cytoplasmic expression may be detected in most tissues. https://www.proteinatlas.org/ENSG00000170345-FOS/pathology

Do you know of another vendor who can make something similar to sc-52-R? I've tried your monoclonal and it doesn't not react with our fish tissue. We absolutely must use a polyclonal sample.

Our mouse monoclonal antibody, sc-166940: c-Fos (E-8), has been published in zebrafish samples. Your new c-Fos (E-8) antibody is specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 128-152. Can you tell me which epitope your discontinued antibody (SC-52) was specific for? We still have some SC-52 in the lab and need to know what it recognizes.

Is the epitope for this antibody conserved in frog--either xenopus laevis or tropicalis?

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately we do not have information regarding use in frog samples with this discontinued polyclonal antibody. It is very widely reactive, so chances are great it would work just fine, but it has not been validated for that use.

Please: I need information about a substitute product in relation to anti-c FOS antibody # nO. cat: sc-52 rabbit x rat. Is there other simlar product?

Thank you for your question. We have several c-Fos antibodies that would be great substitutions for detection of c-Fos. Either sc-8047 or sc-413 would be a great suggestion!
