    SEE ALSO...

WDR55 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects WDR55 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-WDR55 antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WDR55, consisting of 383 amino acids, is primarily located in the nucleus and cytoplasm and contains seven WD repeats, which are critical for function. These WD repeats form a characteristic propeller-like structure that facilitates protein-protein interactions, allowing WDR55 to play a significant role in ribosomal RNA synthesis regulation. This function is essential for proper cellular growth and development, particularly during organogenesis, as WDR55 influences ribosome production necessary for protein synthesis. WDR55 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 5q31.3 and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, highlighting potential for diverse regulatory roles within cells. WDR55′s ability to modulate rRNA synthesis underscores importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to developmental cues, making WDR55 a valuable target for research in cellular biology and developmental processes.
