p-c-Fos Antibody (34E4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against phosphorylated human c-Fos, a crucial transcription factor whose activity is regulated by phosphorylation. Anti-p-c-Fos antibody (34E4) recognizes c-Fos only when phosphorylated and demonstrates species cross-reactivity with human and canine samples through Western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. c-Fos monoclonal antibody (34E4) is available in non-conjugated form, enabling researchers to study this critical post-translational modification. As a rapidly induced transcription factor, c-Fos undergoes sophisticated regulation through phosphorylation in response to various stimuli, including growth factors and stress signals. This phosphorylation-dependent activation proves essential for c-Fos′s ability to form heterodimers with Jun family proteins, creating the AP-1 transcription factor complex. The formation of these complexes enables sequence-specific DNA binding, allowing c-Fos to regulate genes involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The dynamic nature of c-Fos phosphorylation serves as a molecular switch controlling transcriptional responses to cellular signals, particularly in contexts of inflammation and apoptosis. When this regulatory mechanism becomes dysregulated, the resulting aberrant c-Fos activity can contribute to oncogenic pathways, making c-Fos an important target for cancer research. Through these phosphorylation-dependent functions, p-c-Fos (34E4) antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool for investigating both normal signaling mechanisms and disease pathways.
