NOXA Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NOXA of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NOXA (F-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NOXA, a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family, plays a crucial role in regulating programmed cell death, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing tumorigenesis. NOXA contains the Bcl-2 homology 3 (BH3) domain, which is essential for promoting apoptosis, while lacking other BH domains present in anti-apoptotic proteins. NOXA is selectively localized to the mitochondria, where NOXA interacts with other Bcl-2 family members to modulate apoptotic signaling pathways. This mitochondrial localization positions NOXA to directly influence the release of cytochrome c and other pro-apoptotic factors, thereby initiating the apoptotic cascade. In murine cells, NOXA mRNA is constitutively expressed at low levels across various organs, with expression levels significantly increasing following X-ray irradiation. In human cells, NOXA, also known as PMA-induced protein 1 or APR, exhibits high expression in the adult T cell leukemia cell line IKD, suggesting a role as an immediate-early-response gene in cellular stress responses.
