SEE ALSO...

MBP-probe Antibody (P2F1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects maltose binding protein (MBP) by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). MBP is a 370 amino acid protein derived from the E. coli malE gene, playing a crucial role in the transport and binding of maltose and maltodextrins, which are essential for bacterial metabolism. The ability of MBP to bind maltose with high affinity not only facilitates the uptake of these sugars but also serves as a valuable tool in molecular biology for the purification of recombinant proteins. By utilizing MBP as a fusion tag, researchers can easily isolate target proteins through affinity chromatography, leveraging the specific interaction between MBP and amylose resin. This method allows for the efficient purification of proteins, which is vital for various applications in research and biotechnology. Anti-MBP antibody (P2F1) is specifically designed to recognize and bind to the MBP tag, enabling the visualization and analysis of MBP-fusion proteins in experimental setups.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great antibody for pulldown assayThis MBP-probe antibody that I bought two weeks ago was used in my pulldown assay . I think it is a great useful antibody that it can recognise my MBP tagged fusion protein specifically with unique strong band in WB assay. So, I command this antibody to people who do the similar work.
