GPR3 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GPR3 protein of mouse, rat, and, to a lesser extent, human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GPR3 Antibody (B-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. G protein-coupled receptor 3 (GPR3), also known as the ACCA orphan receptor, is a 330 amino acid protein that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor 1 family. The structure of GPR3 is significant as a multi-pass membrane protein, which spans the cellular membrane multiple times, facilitating signal transduction. This structural characteristic enables interaction with G proteins, which activate adenylate cyclase, leading to cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) production. GPR3 is predominantly expressed in the central nervous system, where GPR3 plays a vital role in stimulating cAMP production, thereby influencing neurite outgrowth and myelin inhibition. Additionally, in oocytes, GPR3′s ability to regulate cAMP levels is essential for controlling meiosis and preventing premature progesterone-induced meiotic maturation. Mice lacking GPR3 can reproduce; however, these mice exhibit a lack of control over oocyte maturation, resulting in nondeveloping early embryos and fragmented oocytes as they age.
