EBV EBNA-1 Antibody (1EB14) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects EBV EBNA-1 in human samples by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). EBV EBNA-1 is a crucial protein expressed in all Epstein-Barr virus-associated tumors, including Burkitt′s lymphoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and plays a vital role in the synthesis and maintenance of the Epstein-Barr virus genome. EBV EBNA-1 is essential for the transformation of human B cells, facilitating the replication of the viral genome and the expression of latent genes necessary for the growth and immortalization of these cells. Notably, EBV EBNA-1 interacts with various cellular proteins, including the cellular transcription factor Oct-2, which enhances viral gene expression activation. EBV EBNA-1 presence in infected cells is not only a marker for EBV-related malignancies but also highlights its importance in the pathogenesis of these diseases, making EBV EBNA-1 a significant target for research and therapeutic interventions. Anti-EBV EBNA-1 antibody (1EB14) serves as an invaluable tool for studying the role of EBV in cancer biology and for exploring potential treatment strategies.
