DLEC1 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects DLEC1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DLEC1, or deleted in lung and esophageal cancer protein 1, is a crucial 1,755 amino acid cytoplasmic protein located on chromosome 3p, a region frequently associated with deletions in various carcinomas. DLEC1 plays a significant role in tumor suppression, as introduction into cancer cell lines has been shown to reduce invasiveness and inhibit cell growth, highlighting importance in cancer biology. Notably, DLEC1 undergoes post-translational modifications, including methylation of its promoter, which has been linked to poor prognosis in non-small cell lung carcinoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. DLEC1 expression is highest in the kidney and prostate, and exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in different tissues.
