SEMA7A Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Semaphorin 7A in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SEMA7A plays a pivotal role in the nervous system, particularly in the regulation of axonal growth during embryogenesis, where SEMA7A influences the directionality of growth cones by creating repulsive signals in areas of high expression. This function is crucial for proper neural network formation and connectivity, as misregulation can lead to developmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, SEMA7A, also known as CD108, is involved in the negative regulation of T cell activation and function, highlighting SEMA7A′s importance not only in neural development but also in immune responses.
