p53CSV Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects p53CSV of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p53CSV antibody (B-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. p53CSV, also known as WF-1, HSPC132, or TRIAP1 (TP53 regulated inhibitor of apoptosis 1), is a crucial 76 amino acid protein primarily localized in the cytoplasm and perinuclear region of cells. This localization enables p53CSV to effectively mediate cell survival by inhibiting caspase-9 activation, thereby preventing apoptosis induction. p53CSV is upregulated in response to low levels of genotoxic stress, vital for cellular adaptation and survival under mild stress conditions, while expression doesn′t significantly increase during severe DNA damage. p53CSV interacts with HSP 70, which may modulate the apoptotic pathway and inhibit apoptosis protease activating factor-1 (Apaf-1) activity, highlighting its role in the balance of cell survival and death. Regulated by the tumor suppressor protein p53, p53CSV is essential for p53-mediated cell survival, and the gene encoding p53CSV is located on human chromosome 12, a region encompassing over 1,100 genes and constituting approximately 4.5% of the human genome.
