MDMX Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MDMX protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MDMX antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MDMX protein plays a crucial role in regulating p53 protein stability, which is essential for maintaining cellular integrity and preventing tumorigenesis. MDMX, an MDM2-related protein, inhibits p53 degradation mediated by MDM2 through distinct interactions, thereby influencing p53′s function in cell cycle regulation and apoptosis. MDMX (also known as MDM4) is frequently amplified in malignant gliomas, highlighting its significance in cancer biology. Additionally, MDMX interacts with ARF protein, which sequesters MDMX in the nucleolus, leading to enhanced p53 transactivation and increased p53 activity. This dynamic interplay between MDMX, MDM2, and p53 underscores MDMX′s importance in regulating critical cellular processes and potential as a therapeutic target in cancer treatment.
