MAP-2 Antibody (AP20) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAP-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-MAP-2 antibody (AP20) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAP-2 plays a crucial role in stabilizing and organizing microtubules, essential components of the cytoskeleton. Through binding to microtubules, MAP-2 enhances stability and promotes tubulin assembly, influencing microtubule distribution within cells. This function maintains cellular structure and facilitates intracellular transport. MAP-2 regulates microtubule dynamics, with phosphorylation status significantly affecting function and protein interactions. Understanding MAP-2′s role in microtubule dynamics helps explain contributions to neuronal development and function, along with implications in neurodegenerative diseases where microtubule stability becomes compromised.

I need a Map2 antibody for identify mature neurons that not have unspecific labeling in human fibroblast. Which of two Map2 antibodies do you recommend me?

Thank you for your question. All our MAP-2 antibodies are human reactive and will detect MAP-2 in your human samples. I would suggest either sc-74421 or sc-32791, both are very specific and strong MAP-2 antibodies.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of canine origin. Do you know if this mouse monoclonal antibody will work?
