GPR3 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GPR3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-GPR3 antibody (C-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. G protein-coupled receptor 3 (GPR3), also known as the ACCA orphan receptor, is a 330 amino acid protein that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor 1 family. GPR3 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by activating adenylate cyclase through G proteins, which leads to the production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). GPR3 is predominantly located in the cellular membrane and is expressed at low levels in various tissues, including the eye, kidney, lung, ovary, and testis, but is most highly concentrated in the central nervous system. GPR3′s ability to stimulate cAMP production is vital for processes such as neurite outgrowth and myelin inhibition, which are essential for proper neuronal function and development. In oocytes, GPR3′s regulation of cAMP levels is critical for controlling meiosis, as GPR3 can halt the maturation process and prevent progesterone-induced meiotic maturation. Mice lacking GPR3 can reproduce; however, these mice exhibit a lack of control over oocyte maturation, resulting in nondeveloping early embryos and fragmented oocytes as they age, highlighting GPR3′s importance in reproductive health and development.
