Cardiotrophin-1 Antibody (AN-B3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Cardiotrophin-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cardiotrophin-1 monoclonal antibody (AN-B3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) is a crucial member of the interleukin-6 (IL-6) family of cytokines, which play a significant role in cell signaling through gp130 receptor complexes. CT-1 interaction with the leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) receptor/gp130 complex induces hypertrophy in cardiac myocytes, highlighting CT-1′s role in cardiac health and development. CT-1 is predominantly expressed in the myocardium during cardiogenesis, promoting proliferation and survival of embryonic cardiomyocytes, suggesting CT-1′s vital role in gp130 activation during cardiac development. CT-1 is highly expressed in various tissues, including heart, prostate, ovary, and skeletal muscle, while lower levels are found in lung, kidney, pancreas, thymus, testis, and small intestine, indicating diverse biological functions across different organ systems.
