TP1 Activators

The TP1 Activators are a group of compounds that can influence the functional activity of TP1, which is a component of the telomerase complex. Some compounds such as Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), GRN163L (Imetelstat), BIBR1532, MST-312, Rh2, and Costunolide are known to inhibit telomerase activity, which could be achieved through direct interactions with the telomerase complex, including TP1. These compounds might act by binding to the telomerase complex or altering the epigenetic state of the telomerase genes, leading to impaired function of TP1.

In contrast, other compounds such as TAT-2C, Astragaloside IV, Oleuropein, and Cycloastragenol are known to enhance telomerase activity, through interactions with the telomerase complex, including TP1. These compounds might act by stabilizing the telomerase complex or directly stimulating its activity, leading to enhanced function of TP1.
