Sin Inhibitors

Sin inhibitors represent a class of chemical compounds designed to target and modulate the activity of Sirtuin (SIR) proteins, a family of NAD+-dependent deacetylases involved in various cellular processes. Sirtuins play a critical role in gene expression, metabolism, and the regulation of cellular stress responses. Sin inhibitors function by interfering with the catalytic activity of these enzymes, typically through direct binding to the active site or through allosteric modulation.
