Myoferlin Inhibitors

Myoferlin Inhibitors include compounds that indirectly modulate the function of Myoferlin by influencing cellular processes related to vesicle trafficking, membrane dynamics, and cytoskeletal organization. These inhibitors do not target Myoferlin directly but affect the cellular mechanisms and pathways in which Myoferlin operates. Compounds such as Brefeldin A, Monensin, Dynasore, Nocodazole, and Cytochalasin D target vesicle trafficking and cytoskeletal dynamics. Brefeldin A and Monensin disrupt the function of the Golgi apparatus, which is crucial for the vesicle trafficking processes where Myoferlin is involved. Dynasore, Nocodazole, and Cytochalasin D, by affecting dynamin, microtubules, and actin filaments respectively, can disrupt the normal function of Myoferlin in vesicle movement and membrane repair.

Other inhibitors, including ML-7, Blebbistatin, Latrunculin A, Jasplakinolide, Wiskostatin, Y-27632, and Phalloidin, affect various aspects of cytoskeletal dynamics and related cellular processes. For instance, ML-7 and Blebbistatin, targeting myosin light chain kinase and myosin II, can impact cellular processes where Myoferlin plays a role. Latrunculin A, Jasplakinolide, and Phalloidin, by modulating actin filament dynamics, can influence Myoferlin's function in actin remodeling.
