MRP-L10 Inhibitors

MRP-L10 Inhibitors are an array of chemical compounds that can decrease the functional activity of MRP-L10, a protein that is a component of the large ribosomal subunit. These compounds accomplish this by primarily focusing on inhibiting the mTOR pathway, which is critically involved in ribosomal biogenesis. Compounds such as Rapamycin, Metformin, Resveratrol, Niclosamide, AZD8055, and NVP-BEZ235 are direct mTOR inhibitors that decrease ribosomal biogenesis, thereby indirectly inhibiting the function of MRP-L10. These compounds halt the mTOR pathway, leading to a decrease in ribosomal biogenesis, resulting in the reduced functional activity of MRP-L10. The MRP-L10 Inhibitors also include compounds such as LY294002, Wortmannin, and Quercetin, which are PI3K inhibitors. These compounds interrupt the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway, indirectly reducing the activity of MRP-L10. Another approach to inhibit MRP-L10 is through the use of compounds such as 2-Deoxy-D-glucose, which reduces energy availability and, in turn, decreases ribosomal biogenesis. Additionally, Sorafenib and Selumetinib serveas Raf and MEK inhibitors respectively, interrupting the Raf/MEK/ERK pathway which is linked to mTOR. This can indirectly inhibit the function of MRP-L10. These compounds work by interrupting the Raf/MEK/ERK pathway, indirectly reducing the functional activity of MRP-L10 as the pathway is linked to mTOR, which controls ribosomal biogenesis.
