MRM1 Activators

β-Nicotinamide mononucleotide, a precursor to NAD+, is crucial for the maintenance of mitochondrial function, and by ensuring the availability of NAD+, it supports the energy-dependent processes of the mitochondria, including those dependent on MRM1. Resveratrol, through its activation of SIRT1, promotes mitochondrial biogenesis, a process that would necessitate the increased activity of mitochondrial rRNA methyltransferases such as MRM1. Similarly, the activation of Dexamethasone, a master regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis, through various chemicals, would be expected to increase the demand for MRM1 function as new mitochondria are formed.
