GSTM3 Activators

The chemicals listed above can potentially activate GSTM3 or influencethe related signaling pathways. Resveratrol, found in grapes and berries, increases the expression and activity of GSTM3 by promoting its binding to substrates and enhancing detoxification processes. Curcumin, found in turmeric, upregulates GSTM3 expression and enzymatic activity by acting as an antioxidant and activating Nrf2. Sulforaphane, present in cruciferous vegetables, indirectly activates GSTM3 by modulating the Nrf2 pathway and promoting its nuclear translocation.

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a major polyphenol in green tea, activates GSTM3 by increasing its expression and promoting its interaction with substrates. Quercetin, a flavonoid in fruits and vegetables, upregulates GSTM3 expression and enhances its enzymatic activity by facilitating the conjugation of glutathione to xenobiotics. Caffeic acid, found in coffee and plants, increases GSTM3 expression and activity by enhancing substrate binding and protecting against oxidative stress. Indole-3-carbinol, present in cruciferous vegetables, indirectly activates GSTM3 by modulating the AhR pathway and increasing its detoxification activity. Lycopene, a pigment in tomatoes, activates GSTM3 by increasing its expression and facilitating substrate binding. Genistein, found in soy products, upregulates GSTM3 expression and enhances its enzymatic activity by promoting glutathione conjugation to xenobiotics. Allyl isothiocyanate, present in cruciferous vegetables, indirectly activates GSTM3 by modulating the Nrf2 pathway and increasing its detoxification function. Ellagic acid, found in fruits and nuts, upregulates GSTM3 expression and promotes substrate binding for detoxification. Diallyl disulfide, present in garlic, increases GSTM3 expression and activity by promoting substrate binding and protecting against oxidative damage.
