FSIP2 Activators

Forskolin, a diterpene, acts upon adenylyl cyclase to raise cAMP levels, which in turn activates PKA, a kinase that can phosphorylate transcription factors modulating gene expression, including genes such as FSIP2. Epigallocatechin gallate, navigates through multiple signaling pathways, potentially altering the transcriptional landscape in which FSIP2 resides. Resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound, engages with sirtuin pathways influencing histone deacetylation, an epigenetic modification that can impact FSIP2 expression.

The DNA methyltransferase inhibitor 5-Aza-2'-deoxycytidine changes epigenetic marks, leading to a more open chromatin state and possibly increased FSIP2 transcription. Kinase inhibitors like PD98059, LY294002, Y-27632, SB431542, and SP600125 target MEK, PI3K, ROCK, TGF-β, and JNK, respectively. These interventions alter the cascade of signals that eventually reach the control points of FSIP2 expression or activity. Curcumin and sulforaphane are both capable of influencing various cellular regulators, which may include those affecting FSIP2. ZM-447439, an aurora kinase inhibitor, interferes with spindle assembly and may have implications for FSIP2 activity during cell division.
