Centaurin γ3 Activators
Centaurin γ3 activators are chemical compounds that enhance the functional activity of Centaurin γ3, a protein with GTPase activating protein (GAP) activity towards the ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) family of small GTPases. Clozapine, an atypical antipsychotic, also modulates cAMP levels, leading to enhanced Centaurin γ3 activity. Y-27632, a ROCK inhibitor, can enhance Centaurin γ3 function by modulating cytoskeleton dynamics, which can indirectly influence its GAP activity. Lastly, U0126, a MEK inhibitor, and Metformin, an AMPK activator, can modulate the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway and energy metabolism, respectively, leading to enhanced Centaurin γ3 activity.
