Tβ-15a/b Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the T beta-15a/b protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-T beta-15a/b antibody (B-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. T beta-15a/b (TMSB15A) is a 44 amino acid peptide that plays a crucial role in cellular dynamics, particularly in neuroblastomas, where T beta-15a/b is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm. T beta-15a/b binds to G-Actin, thereby influencing F-Actin assembly, which is vital for maintaining cytoskeletal structure and facilitating cell motility. T beta-15a/b interaction with G-Actin is significant in processes such as tissue invasion and cell growth, making T beta-15a/b a key player in tumor development and progression. Reduced T beta-15a/b expression has been shown to decrease cell invasion, highlighting T beta-15a/b potential role in cancer metastasis. T beta-15a/b shares significant similarity with T beta-15b isoform, which is transcribed from a different gene (TMSB15B) and encodes an identical protein, yet both isoforms are regulated differently and exhibit distinct expression patterns.
