SOD-1 Antibody (72B1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Cu-Zn superoxide dismutase-1 (SOD-1) in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SOD-1 is a crucial cytosolic enzyme that plays a vital role in protecting cells from oxidative stress by catalyzing the dismutation of superoxide radicals into hydrogen peroxide and molecular oxygen, thereby mitigating potential cellular damage.
