Shc Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Shc protein in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Shc antibody (H-11) plays a crucial role in the signaling pathways initiated by growth factor receptor activation, which is essential for cellular responses such as proliferation and differentiation. Shc protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where Shc acts as an adapter that links activated receptor tyrosine kinases to downstream signaling molecules, thereby facilitating the transmission of signals to the nucleus. This localization allows Shc to rapidly respond to extracellular signals and initiate a cascade of intracellular events that lead to mitogenic responses. Additionally, Shc interacts with other key proteins, including GRB2 and Sos, which are critical for the activation of the Ras signaling pathway, further underscoring Shc′s importance in cellular signaling networks. The formation of complexes between Shc and these proteins enhances the specificity and efficiency of signal transduction, making Shc a pivotal player in the regulation of various biological processes.
