Rbx2 Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Rbx2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rbx2 (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rbx2, also known as ROC2, plays a crucial role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, functioning as a RING finger protein that facilitates ubiquitin transfer to target substrates, thereby regulating protein degradation and cellular homeostasis. This process is vital for maintaining proper cellular function, as Rbx2 helps control levels of key regulatory proteins involved in cell cycle progression, signal transduction, and stress responses. Rbx2 is closely related to Rbx1 (ROC1), which is a component of the Skp1-Cdc53-F-box protein (SCF) ubiquitin ligase complex, and both proteins are essential for ubiquitination of various substrates, including cyclins and transcription factors. Rbx2′s ability to interact with other proteins in the ubiquitin ligase complex underscores its importance in cellular regulation and highlights its potential as a target for therapeutic intervention in diseases characterized by dysregulated protein degradation.
